Kelly Santiago – President
Kelly Santiago worked for many years in the field of Business Administration but always had a passion to work in the social service field. She is currently taking courses in Community Counseling Skill and Non- Profit Management at British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). Kelly has consistently displayed the compassion, vision and dedication to work with underprivileged children and families in Citrolandia, Brazil with a goal of ensuring the basic conditions to live with dignity. She was one of the founders of Vila Isabel Society in 2006. Her incredible commitment and leadership has played an integral role in how far the organization has come, currently serving over 100 children and families. Kelly is responsible for managing and supervising the organization’s fundraising events.
Barbara Estey – Director
Barb brings to Vila Isabel over 25 years of sales, operations and administration experience. She recently relocated to Vancouver from Toronto after completing a successful 20 year career with Paramount Pictures Home Entertainment as a Director followed by Vice President. With a focus to find a meaningful non-profit/charity to work with she discovered Vila Isabel. Barb is thrilled to contribute to this great cause in any way her experience can be of assistance.
Fernanda Pellegrini – Director
Fernanda Pellegrini is a journalist with15+ yrs experience in the digital media environment who moved to Vancouver in January 2010. Experienced in new media, technology and innovation, she has in her background also a Master’s Degree in Production Engineering, a MBA in e-Business and a Major in Psychology, recently completed at UBC. Highlights of her professional life in Brazil include her participation in the team of the very first newspaper with an internet edition in the country, back in 1995 – Jornal do Brasil; and different positions at the biggest media conglomerate in Latin America – Globo Organizations -, among them Tech Editor, Projects and Product Management, Strategy Consultant and Innovation Manager. In Vancouver, she opened Media In Depth in April 2010, a media-oriented consulting business with clients mainly in Brazil. She’s happy to be a part of Vila Isabel Society Team.
Erica Reznick – Secretary
Dr. Erica Reznick is a registered Clinical Psychologist with a private practice in West Vancouver. Her therapeutic work spans over 25 years. Erica has worked on the Stress Free Schools project, bringing Transcendental Meditation into the school system. She has participated on anti-bullying programs in the schools for elementary children and adolescents. Formerly the vice-chair of the Diamond Heart Foundation and later the Garbha Foundation, Erica worked to bring programs to communities that bridge conventional and holistic healthcare education, addressing arts and healing, children and spirituality, and education. Erica was also featured in the book Waking Up the West Coast; Healers and Visionaries and was a selected Visionary for Shared Vision Magazine for her work with the Garbha Foundation (July, 2006).
Livia Starling – Treasurer
Livia Starling has more than 15 years of experience in the business administration field. She moved to Vancouver in 2014 and is currently enrolled in a Human Resources Management course at British Columbia Institute of Technology. When she met Kelly Santiago, she immediately fell in love with Vila Isabel projects and got committed to help the organization in order to provide a better life for the community living in Citrolandia, Brazil.”
